Started Our IP Journey
Founded and Head Quartered in Kolkata, L.S. DAVAR & Co. a Full-Service Intellectual Property Law Firm was established in the year 1932 by Late Mr L. S. Davar, an Attorney at Law. 1966
Invited to the Parliament of India
Lt. Mr. L.S.Davar was invited as a witness to the joint/select committee constituted to present the report on The Patent Bill, 1965 to the Parliament of India during the year 1966. Based on the recommendation of the committee, The Patent Act, 1970 was enacted which still remains the basis for putting in place a balanced patent regime in India.
